June is recognized as Pride Month. A time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, while also honoring the ongoing pursuit of equity, inclusion, and acceptance. It is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of creating spaces where individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

The RUSM Wellness and Counseling Center acknowledges Pride Month as a meaningful reminder of our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus environment. We encourage our community to take this time to learn, listen, and engage in respectful dialogue, while recognizing the unique experiences and voices within the LGBTQ+ community. Pride Month also serves as a moment to reaffirm the importance of allyship, compassion, and mutual respect in supporting the well-being of all.

Throughout the month of June, we invite students, faculty, and staff to reflect on how we can each contribute to a culture of belonging, one that celebrates individuality, promotes understanding, and upholds dignity for everyone.
