Inspired by the vibrant culture of intramural sports and recognizing the lack of comparable academic competitions, SMS aims to provide students with a platform to showcase their academic prowess. We strive to create a dynamic environment where students can deepen their medical knowledge, collaborate with peers, and enhance their problem-solving skills. Our mission is to cultivate a spirit of academic curiosity, professional development, and camaraderie among RUSM students through engaging quiz competitions, interactive learning sessions, and collaborative activities. By enriching our member’s educational journey, we aim to prepare them to thrive in their medical careers with confidence and competence.
Summa Medica Society translates from Latin as "Great Medical Society," and we are also known as the Quiz Club. Our motto, "Studere Ad Salutem", translates to "to study for salvation." This serves as a reminder during challenging times of why we embarked on this journey in the first place.
